Wood works refers to the fact that all the parts in the movement of the clock are made of wood, including the gears, and nails, or pegs and front and back plates are wood that’s used in construction of the clock movement. The reverse painting on the lower door is of an eagle sitting on the world. This clock still has the original dial. The half columns are a hand painted gold design, top splat gold design all looks original, and in very fine condition. This unique piece of history is in working order.
